Every clients journey starts the same, a 121 with me, but don't let that fool you into thinking this is a cookie cutter programme. This is far from that. We begin with a chinwag about you as well as a very simple movement analysis. The aim of this extremely important session is not to put you through your paces, but to paint the big picture for me. Your 12 week programme begins here so it's key that I know exactly where you are at right now and where it is that you'd like to get to. Your 12 week action plan then fills the gap between the 2. 

STRAIGHTFORWARD & SUSTAINABLE

My clients follow a straightforward 28 day roadmap that is planned out in advance and details exactly what needs to be done on a day to day basis. Doing things this way, looking at the bigger, 28 day picture, means you'll be able to sustain this for the duration and beyond your 12 week programme.

MyZone, the fitness activity tracker that all of my clients are provided with, keeps me in the loop with all of your daily activity and workout efforts! Couple this with your weekly action plan that's delivered via my app and you'll be sure to stay on the wagon once and for all!

THE NUTS AND BOLTS...

THRIVEcheck - This is our first step, we'll sit down, 121, and take a detailed look at where you are right now, where you want to be and what it'll take to make it happen. This is where we will also complete a simple movement assessment and the optional body scan.
Weekly accountability calls - Every week you will have the opportunity to have a 121 'coffee with Dan' session. These are just simple catch-up sessions to discuss how things are going, make any necessary adjustments and answer any questions that you may have.
Inbody scans - I don't settle for a standard set of bathroom scales, they are just not good enough for fat loss. If comfortable doing so, you will jump on my Inbody Scanner which gives us a comprehensive breakdown of what your bodyweight is made up of. We'll see metrics such as fat mass, muscles mass and water weight.
12 weeks access to a private gym - The Lifting Club is a private gym in Little Chalfont, Amersham that is reserved exclusively for beginners or those who are new to health and fitness. Sorry gym meatheads, this is not the space for you! 
Monthly deep dives - Every 4 weeks, we have a more indepth get together. We reflect on the previous 4 weeks, we rescan and we plan the next 4 weeks. You leave these sessions with the clarity needed to progress through the next 4 weeks and continue making progress.
MyZone Activity Tracker - You will be given a state of the art MyZone activity tracker for the duration of your coaching with me. Any time you complete a workout, you'll pop this on. This sends realtime data to me about your workout such as average heartrate and duration. No more skipping workouts, your coach is watching!
Bespke nutrition guidance - We'll work together across the duration of your coaching to ensure you're following nutrition protocols that are most suitable to you. This is no 'one size fits all' approach.
Bespoke training programme - If working out with weights is something you would like to do then I can put together a bespoke programme using the information gathered in our initial consultation (this is why we complete a movement assessment).

A BIT ABOUT ME, YOUR FUTURE COACH...

That's me over there, Dan, your future coach!

I'm a 33 year old, socially awkward introvert, that is completely incapable of opening a packet of biscuits or crisps and finishing the entire thing in one sitting. Lord knows I've tried to stop this! I've hidden them away in the depths of the cupboards but the moment I get bored, it's like they talk to me, whispering their sugary and salty sweet nothings to me. Initially, I'll resist but eventually the inevitable happens, I crumble and they're gone! What's my solution? I don't buy them in the first place! Sorry, no magic formula here. Doesn't stop others buying them for me though... For those of you interested, M&S do an incredible white chocolate extra chocolatey chocolate biscuit!

I'm not perfect, far from it in fact! Aren't we all? I guess that's why my approach to weight loss is the way it is, it's all about the person, understanding their flaws and harnessing their strengths to help imperfect people succeed. So, if you're someone that wants to do it ALL from day 1 (run before you can walk), wants to eradicate any kind of enjoyment from your life and spend every spare hour in the day in the gym, it's likely that I'm not the right coach for you!

Here are some quick fire things that you might be interested to know about me:

I don't tell my clients the following things; what to eat, when they should be eating, to eliminate booze, takeaways, crisps and cake, to go to the gym 7 days a week. Instead I'll help you put together a plan that makes all these things fit in around you life and your goal.

I lift weights, not to control my weight but because a) I enjoy it and b) because I feel more confident when I do it!

Some days I just can't be bothered and have no motivation but I have a non-negotiable when I'm in those moods and that's to get outdoors regardless of the weather and go for a walk. I'm yet to regret doing this...

I don't take life too seriously and that's reflected in my approach to coaching and weight loss, yes you have a goal that's important to you and you want to acheive it, but your weight doesn't define who you are as a person, be happier first, leaner second!

I like to make people feel comfortable talking about what they might consider to be uncomfortable things.

I wear shorts all year round and not even sorry about it, probably should have been a postman.

I won't judge or belittle you if your weight doesn't change one week to the next because a) I understand the human body and b) because I understand that life happens and things will never be perfect!

I've failed at so many things in my 33 years but I've always looked at the positives and learned a lesson from each failure.

I'm an animal lover, I have a dog, he's a chug called Hendrix.

 I procrastinate, a lot!

Some things I love; DIY, the great outdoors and camping, cooking, a good coffee, sports and tattoos!

I'm a massive advocate for the midday nap, but it has to be under the duvet, controversial, I know.

I'm a bit of a gamer, I grew up with a Playstation and a Gameboy (colour, I'm not that old), still play Pokémon to this day, it helps me switch off.

I'm not a huge drinker but have been in the past, nowadays I'm all about a nice glass of red on a cold winters day or a wee dram whilst listening to some vinyl.

I whistle, a lot, some say it's out of tune but I call it harmonising.

I'm fluent in sarcasm. Yes, I know it's the lowest form of wit and I don't care).

I have a holiday coming up in the next 12 weeks, can I still get started?
You sure can, your action plan that's completed before your journey starts accounts for any big events that are upcoming. Plus, you'll be coached using a sustainable method with the goal of you being able to continue this long-term, if that's to happen, it needs to work around holidays, right? We can't just put our health on hold because a holiday is coming up!
